Summary. Summary. Effectiveness of rebound syndrome prevention with use of allopurinol and Homvio-Reuman combination in acute gout arthritis (AGA) was studied. Authors have shown higher clinical and laboratory efficiency of combined allopurinol and Homvio-Reuman therapy in gout patients compared to allopurinol stepup monotherapy. Homvio-Reuman use resulted in pain decrease, joint functional state improvement, decrease of inflammatory process activity, serum uric acid reduction. Clinical observation has shown lack of toxic effects on organs and blood. Allopurinol and Homvio-Reuman combination prevented gout arthritis relapse in all patients and allowed adequate therapy use in early terms of gout attack. It allows to recommend this combination for wide use in complex therapy of AGA without any concerns of gout arthritis lapse due to hypouricaemic drugs.
