Cytokine Markers and Prognostic Factors of Unfavourable Disease Course in Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis

Summary. Summary. By cytokine levels determination in patients with refractory disease course of juvenile rheumatoid arthritis (JRA), markers of unfavourable prognosis have been tested. Treatment choice should be based on number of clinically unfavourable prognostic criteria plus cytokine markers of unfavourable disease prognosis determination, namely sCD25, interleukin (IL)-6, IL-1Ra and soluble tumor necrosis factor receptors (sTNF-R1).
