Summary. Summary. Osteoporosis is a chronic, progressive disease, widespread among the older adults age groups. Mortality caused by osteoporotic fractures complications is high. This article provides a review of the literature of studies of the effectiveness of alendronic acid in the treatment and prevention of osteoporosis.
