OSTEOARTHRATIS IN ADOLESCENTS: RELATIONSHIP OF METABOLIC DISTURBANCES AND CHANGES OF IMMUNOLOGIC HOMEOSTASIS IN ITS FORMATIONKorenev M.M.1, Shevchenko N.S. 2
Summary. Summary. Studies were clinical in nature, was devoted to the detection of interaction between the components of connective tissue metabolism and macronutrients with individual immunity in the formation of secondary osteoarthritis (OA) in adolescents 12–18 years against connective tissue dysplasia or reactive arthritis after suffering a knee. The analysis included 142 adolescents 12–18 years, patients with knee OA. Disease developed in 109 against systemic connective tissue dysplasia (SCTD) (first group) and against reactive arthritis (ReA) — 33 (second group). Some parameters of connective tissue metabolism and immune homeostasis were investigated. The results revealed a correlations of changes in cellular and humoral immunity, production of major proinflammatory cytokines and metabolic disorders of collagen and proteoglycans, content of macronutrients (calcium, phosphorus, magnesium). Found equally directed deviations in these parameters in patients with ОА of the formation of different backgrounds. These data suggest that the initiation of dystrophic process at a young age is the presence of complex interrelated and reinforcing each other changes in different systems of homeostasis (prevails in those of the first group). Many components of violations require the appointment of adjuvant therapy for their correction in order to prevent further progression of changes in the affected joints. No Comments » Add your |
