EFFECT OF MELATONIN ON THE SEVERITY OF PAIN SYNDROME AND THE PSYCHO-EMOTIONAL DISORDES IN PATIENTS WITH PSORIATIC ARTHRITISSummary. Summary. A research purpose is a study of life quality, mental and emotional changes of status and comprehensive assessment of the impact of treatment with melatonin on the dynamics of the violations and the severity of pain in patients with psoriatic arthritis. In 43 patients with psoriatic arthritis with changes in the psychosomatic status were examined, quality of life questionnaire SF-36, the level of reactive and personal anxiety, depression severity, the nature and frequency of sleep disorders, the activity rate of the joint syndrome were evaluated. Additional administration of melatonin to the standard therapy of psoriatic arthritis showed a greater than in patients who did not receive the drug, reducing of pain intensity pain, duration of morning stiffness, number of tender and swollen joints, as well as improvement in the performance of the physical component of health, reduction of depression and psycho-vegetative disorders.
