INFLUENCE OF AUTOIMMUNE UVEITIS ON CHILDREN’S QUALITY Of LIFEOshlyanska O.A., Shevchenko I.I. Summary. Quality of life is relevant in today’s world, especially for patients with juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) and uveitis-associated JIA. The aim. To conduct a comparative study of the impact of involvement of the organ of vision on indicators of quality of life according to standardized scales (CHAQ, NEI VFQ-25, DASH) in children with uveitis (on the background of JIA and idiopathic) and JIA without uveitis. Materials and methods. During the work at the clinical base of the Children’s Rheumatology Center and the All-Ukrainian Center for Maternity and Childhood of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, 70 patients aged 3 to 18 years were comprehensively examined, who were divided into the following comparison groups: 33 patients with JIA without uveitis, 26 patients with JIA-associated uveitis and 11 patients with idiopathic uveitis. 65% of those examined were girls. All patients underwent an ophthalmological and general clinical examination and assessed the quality of life according to the CHAQ, NEI VFQ-25, and DASH questionnaires. Results. 49 questionnaires for 2022–2023 were analyzed, which are fully devoted to the issue of assessing the quality of life of children with JIA, in children with uveitis (on the background of JIA and idiopathic). Conclusions. Autoimmune uveitis today has less impact on the quality of life due to the timely appointment of adequate treatment. The DASH questionnaire is a useful tool for assessing the quality of life in children with uveitis, in particular its impact on fine motor skills, motor activity and social interaction, the child’s dependence on adult help, which must be taken into account when developing an individual rehabilitation program. In the absence of joint damage, the CHAQ assessment of JIA is not sufficiently indicative. The NEI VFQ25 questionnaire was more indicative of the impact of uveitis on the quality of life in children.
